Job Title: Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client's dynamic team in Bromsgrove. Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
* Manage customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
* Perform daily and monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts.
* Assist with the preparation of journals and maintain ledger accuracy
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial reports.
* Process employee expenses in line with company policies
* Assist with VAT submissions and compliance.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
Required Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a similar accounts assistant or finance role.
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* AAT qualification or working towards (desirable but not essential).
