We're looking for a passionate, engaging & impact driven individual with experience of developing children and young people in line with their personal development plans and our bespoke curriculum offer.
The successful candidate will be delivering group sessions at our Coventry Campus which focuses on meeting individual needs for a small group of students.
Alongside our experienced team, you will work holistically, enhancing self-esteem, increasing emotional resilience, and reigniting their love of learning. You must be able to develop trusting relationships and provide stability to our vulnerable learners. You will also need to communicate clearly, confidently and demonstrate resilience in the face of high-pressure circumstances.
Please note: for the right candidate, we can also be flexible on contract, days & hours.
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience developing and supporting children with an ASD/SEMH
* An understanding of a variety of behaviour management techniques, with a focus on resolution management followed by developmental reflection.
* An aptitude to work in partnership with multiple education professionals, as well as parents/carers.
* Experience and passion for working outside of the conventional classroom and embracing outdoor learning, in line with the ethos of the school.
* A practical understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation
* Behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
* Qualified Teacher Status in Primary
* Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of learners with an ASC/SEMH
Preferred Qualifications
* A knowledge of, and up to date qualifications in, the safe handling of students (Team Teach).
* First Aid
Licence/Certification:
* A valid UK Driving Licence is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
* Complying with the Nulogic teacher standards
* Planning Schemes of Work with a creative, yet target based approach, built upon a solid understanding of the student’s individual manifestation of ASD/SEMH.
* Leading progression with student’s autism and/or associated behaviours.
* Marking students’ work in line with the marking policy and feeding back to students and leaders.
* Contributing to the overall ethos of the base
* Embedding fundamental British values and opportunities for students to increase their spiritual, moral, social and cultural education.
* Following a self-constructed Scheme of Work in line with a long-term plan, which guarantees the educational and personal improvement of students within the year.
* Using assessment software to monitor students’ progress, the analysis of which will feed into planning.
* Reporting on the progress of students’ both in subjects and related to their autism.
* Timely completion of teacher and student assessment documentation.
* Working collaboratively and across curriculum areas in partnership with other teachers.
* Establishing and maintaining an environment conducive to the progress of our students bearing in mind their sensory needs.
* Highlighting and requesting resources to best impact the academic progress of the student.
* Contributing targets to students' Individual Education Plans.
* Lead some inset day sessions
* Attending and contributing to departmental meetings as and when required
* Taking ownership of own continued professional development and performance management process.
Compliance responsibilities
* Have an awareness of the risk assessment for bases in which they work and be up to date with all relevant policies and procedures.
* Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Administrative Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Schemes of Work and communication of these to the relevant parties.
* Preparation of any resources for lessons.
* Responsibility for any work needed to contribute to staff meetings.
* Input of data to, and analysis of reports from, planning and logging software.
* Contributing to Risk Assessments where sessions deem this a requirement.
* Responsible for bi-annually contributing to reports to be communicated home to parents.

Nulogic is committed to Keeping Children Safe In Education. Part of this position requires you to work closely with vulnerable young people, reporting to Designated Safeguarding Leaders pertinent information about the safety, welfare and wellbeing of students. Full training will be provided.
