Production Operative - Clean room environment

Rates: £14.20ph - £15.70ph
Job Overview:
As a Production Operative, you will be involved in the hands-on production and packaging of products. You will ensure the smooth operation of production lines, perform quality control checks, maintain cleanliness, and comply with all regulatory standards, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor production equipment (e.g., presses, filling machines, blister packaging machines) in a manufacturing environment.
* Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Perform in-process quality checks and inspections to ensure product integrity and compliance with specifications.
* Assist in the preparation and set-up of production equipment and materials for the manufacturing process.
* Maintain accurate documentation of batch records, production logs, and other required paperwork.
* Report any deviations, equipment malfunctions, or issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
* Support the team with the loading, unloading, and packaging of products.
* Ensure safety guidelines and health regulations are consistently followed.
* Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and other teams to resolve any quality or production-related issues.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and reduce waste.
Key Skills & Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience in a production environment
* Attention to Detail: Ability to follow procedures and accurately document work.
* Manual Dexterity: Comfort with performing hands-on tasks, including operating machinery and packing products.
* Health and Safety: A strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues quickly and report them to supervisors.
* Communication: Clear communication skills to work within a team and report any concerns.

* Teamwork: Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with colleagues across departments.
* Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:
* Shift Work: Likely to involve rotating shifts, evening, and weekend work depending on production requirements.
* Environment: Clean-room or controlled production environment, with compliance to strict hygiene and safety standards.
