Responsible for the MEP services delivery, health & safety and subcontractor performance and wellbeing, whilst liaising with the client, main contractor and consultants. Capable of leading the project team on large/complex projects.
You'll be responsible for:
* Leads the production of logic linked programmes, preconstruction, construction and commissioning.
* Leads the production of PPC & road maps
* Input into weekly dependency schedule production to progress works in line with programme.
* Drives and records the weekly look ahead plan for resource and progress.
* Leads within the weekly programme co-ordination/look ahead meeting with detailed understanding of dependencies, problems posed and available resolutions.
* Management and sequencing of supply chain and internal resource in line with programme requirements.
* Production and implementation of the project health & safety strategies.
* Co-ordinates the auditing of installation works to ensure compliance with Mace processes.
* Co-ordinates the auditing of installation works to ensure compliance with project strategies/plans.
* Co-ordinates and leads the management sub-subcontractor health and safety documentation ensuring validity.
* Co-ordinates the management of the auditing of supply chain works onsite in line with approved RAMS.
* Produces the weekend working/early & late working schedule.
* Leads the management of the mechanical and electrical safe system of works.
* Production of EHS inspections & reporting on YJ.
* Leads and coordinates the attendance throughout morning safe start process each day.
* Leads Mace MEP health & safety meetings.
* Lead in the production of project prelims and resource requirements.
* Lead in the production of project procurement strategy.
* Co-ordinates the review of production of sub-sub-contractor tender information i.e. scope of works, interfaces schedules, pricing schedules, demarcations.
* Co-ordinates the management of procurement of sub-subcontractor packages in line with business and project strategies/plans.
* Management of project commercials via a profit and loss reporting including lead attendance at project and commercial reporting meeting.
* Co-ordinates the management of sub-subcontractor's package risk register.
* Co-ordinates the management of sub-subcontractors' weekly dependency schedule production to progress works in line with programme.
* Co-ordinates the management of sub-subcontractor's monthly progress meeting.
* Co-ordinates the management and monitoring recording and challenging of weekly look ahead plan for resource and progress.
* Authorisation of detailed site instruction via descriptions, sketches, site photos for incorporation by the commercial team.
* Co-ordinates the monitoring and auditing of installation works to ensure compliance with project strategies.
* Co-ordinates the management monitoring and auditing of MEP installation works to ensure compliance with construction status drawings i.e. line and level throughout the installation duration, spot checks to be undertaken.
* Co-ordinates the management monitoring and auditing of construction installation works to ensure compliance with MEP requirements, i.e. builds work holes, riser opening dimensions.
* Production of the commissioning strategy, management of close out items for package.
* Co-ordinates the management and close out of comissionability reports.
* Co-ordinates the management of sub-sub-contractor packages throughout the commissioning until single system completion and integrated systems testing.
* Lead attendance at commissioning meetings with detailed knowledge of programme, issues and resolutions.
* Coordination of the production of detailed engineering reviews at preconstruction ensuring the design is aligned throughout the drawings, specifications, schedules for package.
* Coordination of the Input into design review and management of close out items for package.
* Implementation of value engineering.
* Coordination of the management of design for sub-sub-contract packages in compliance with the employers' requirements, project strategies, regulations and best practice. Including production of technical submissions, and construction drawings.
You'll need to have:
* Detailed knowledge of a skills bias (mechanical or electrical) including installation techniques, best practice and single system and integrated critical path commissioning requirements.
* Detailed knowledge of a skills non-bias (mechanical or electrical) including installation techniques, best practice and integrated critical path commissioning requirements
* Detailed knowledge of construction builds elements, including sequencing and dependencies.

* Completion of either a trade or technical apprenticeship within the building services bias achieving either an BTECH Level 3/HNC and NVQ or equivalent.
* Experience of managing and leading project teams on large/complex projects.
You'll also have:
* Internal / external management development courses.
* Engineering based bachelor of science/bachelor of engineering degree.
* Professional instituted membership i.e. CIBSE
