Computer Science - Wolfson Building, Parks Road, Oxford The University of Oxford is looking for a postdoctoral research associate on the project “Challenges in Competitive Online Optimisation” supervised by Christian Coester. The project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The project aims to tackle central challenges in the fields of online algorithms and learning-augmented algorithms. Goals of the project include the advancement of algorithmic design and analysis techniques with potential impact on long-standing open problems in online algorithms, and the development of universal techniques for designing learning-augmented algorithms. The successful candidate will report to the Principal Investigator. The post holder will be a member of a research group providing day-to-day supervision for research assistants. The post holder will be responsible for their own grant funded research project within a discrete area of a wider research programme. It is essential that successful candidate would hold a relevant PhD/DPhil or being close to completion in Computer Science or a related mathematical discipline. This position is on-site. Working hours can be flexible subject to the line manager’s approval.
