Job summary In partnership with the University of Bolton, we are looking to recruit committed, dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals with a desire to undertake a 2 Year Student Nursing Associate Apprenticeship starting in September 2025. This exciting opportunity will enable you to be part of a 2 year work based learning apprenticeship, delivered in conjunction with the University of Bolton. Successful candidates will be employed by the Trust on the Level 5 Nursing Associate Apprenticeship at a band 3. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded a Foundation Degree (FdSc), gain Nursing and Midwifery Council registration as a Nursing Associate and be eligible to apply for a band 4 Nursing Associate role. This vacancy is open to internal and external applicants. Temporary staff who work within the trust are also eligible to apply. Interviews will be held on 3rd June. Main duties of the job The Trust runs a HUB and SPOKE model for this apprenticeship. This means each student Nursing Associate is assigned a HUB placement for the full two years where they will be managed as a member of staff. The Student Nursing Associate will be released from their HUB by their employer to attend SPOKE placements throughout the two years. SNAs will work clinically for 80% of their time in their clinical area and attend University for 20% each week. This two-year apprenticeship combines both University academic study and work-based learning in the physical, psychological and public health aspects of nursing care from pre-conception to end of life. As the Nursing Associate role is non-field specific, the apprenticeship includes SPOKE placements within the different fields of nursing to prepare you for being a flexible practitioner.
