Our client, a nationwide Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy, is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their Henley office. Assistant Civil Engineer Job Overview
* Contribute to the creation of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, Service Strategy Reports, and Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS) designs.
* Assist in the design of drainage systems, road infrastructure, services, and earthworks across a range of exciting projects.
* Use AutoCAD to prepare detailed engineering drawings for a variety of projects.
* Design foul and surface water drainage systems with MicroDrainage.
* Carry out vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack.
* Utilize ground modelling software to design horizontal/vertical alignments and plan earthworks.
* Collaborate with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and the Environment Agency to ensure compliance and smooth project delivery.
* Apply national design guidance to work, contributing to high-quality, well-regulated designs.
Assistant Civil Engineer Job Requirements
* A relevant degree in Civil Engineering.
* At least 1 year of practical experience in a civil engineering role.
* Hands-on experience with preparing reports, such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements, showcasing your ability to communicate key project details clearly.
* Proficiency in using AutoCAD to create accurate and detailed engineering drawings, with a keen interest in enhancing your drafting skills on exciting projects.
* Practical experience in the design of foul and surface water drainage systems using MicroDrainage.
* Familiarity with carrying out vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack.
* Experience using ground modelling software to design horizontal and vertical alignments, earthworks, and more.
* Exposure to working with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and the Environment Agency.
* A good understanding of key national guidance and regulations.
