About the opportunity
The University of Sydney is welcoming applications for a Clinic and Research Manager for the Child Behaviour Research Clinic (CBRC). In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the day-to-day activities of the CBRC including operational, clinical, training, and research management activities taking place within the clinic.
Reporting to Professor Mark Dadds and Professor David Hawes, the Clinic and Research Manager will oversee specialist clinical training, supervisory, and clinical service delivery functions of the CBRC. They will act as the cohesive link coordinating the intersection of multiple research teams operating within the CBRC and contribute substantively to research activities as appropriate to their skills and research interests and the available opportunities.
Additionally, they will support the strategic direction of the CBRC by seeking out research opportunities or topics that align with the strategic priorities of the clinic and providing sound advice to the Clinic Directors on topics related to research management and operations of the CBRC.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the Child Behaviour Research Clinic as a Centre of excellence in specialist clinical training, supervision, and service delivery in the area of child psychopathology.
2. Delivering training and educational opportunities relevant to the broader community within clinical psychology, health / allied health, and education to improve the quality of service provision for children and families in addressing mental health.
3. Ensuring ethical and professional project management of the study.
4. Maintaining relationships with all research stakeholders, including chief investigators, other project staff, and research participants, focusing on overseeing the training and monitoring of CBRC staff carrying out the research protocol.
About you

1. Postgraduate qualifications in clinical psychology, psychology, or a related area with extensive relevant experience.
2. Registration as a Psychologist with Clinical Psychology endorsement and registration as a board-approved clinical supervisor.
3. Extensive experience managing research projects, particularly those that involve database management, assessment, recruitment, and maintenance of human participants (e.g., children and families) in a clinical setting.
