The Process Engineering team provides value add by:
1. Operating within the production area, developing, implementing and managing manufacturing methods, processes and sequence of operations.
2. Defining process requirements, working procedures, and providing equipment recommendations for product lines.
3. Executing Process-FMEA analyses, identifying possible sources of failures and taking measures to eliminate operations risks.
4. Defining the process control methodologies and managing statistical process control systems to analyze out-of-control situations.
5. Liaising with Quality Assurance in responding to customer inquiries, and with Design Engineers to coordinate the launch of new products.
A job at this level:
1. Applies senior engineering know-how, methods, tools and principles on a range of technical subjects.
2. Analyzes deficiencies and creates proposals for technical improvements, for technical processes and infrastructure systems.
3. Contributes to planning, design, realization and/or implementation phase of regional or global investments.
4. Plans, prepares and realizes infrastructure implementation (e.g., planning, programming, configuring and/or installing or commissioning assigned systems or applications).
5. Leads respective local projects or workstreams (often labeled as C-Projects).
6. Briefs and cooperates with external providers, and monitors the service level, deliveries and related costs.
7. Provides local support and consultancy on dedicated technical systems (e.g., as 'System or Product Owner').
Provides technical and sustaining CAD engineering support for a wafer fabrication area in a semiconductor company or a product manufacturing area. Responsible for procurement of masks and reticles that meet the needs of the fabrication area, including fit for purpose, quality and delivery, as well as the Corporate needs of cost and control. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
Interfaces with design engineering, CAD and fabrication engineering teams to coordinate mask data tapeout, providing technical support for data tape out. Manage and coordinate the MCO process. Help to check tape out data and generate bar barcode data.
* Interfaces with fabrication area engineers and foundries engineers in coordinating mask orders.
* Identify and choose suitable mask shop, based on SQM methodology. Interfaces with outside mask shop in coordinating mask orders.
* Preparing data and mask orders to outside mask shops. Checking data and doing jobview approval to release mask to mask making.
* Tracing the mask order until complete. Collect mask delivery dates and generate KPIs, including period report for Finance dept.
Supplier Quality Assurance of mask shops, including cost comparison, on-time delivery and quality assessment/improvement.
Continuous improvement of data management systems and mask ordering process.
