Provide support with balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate anomalies and discrepancies with colleagues across all business levels. Responsibilities Reconcile all bank accounts and payroll to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly. Investigate and resolve any un-reconciled transactions promptly. Reconcile AR card and cash receipts; handle all bank and card transactions appropriately. Execute the monthly supplier payment run and assist with supplier reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Process petty cash journals for all North-East sites. Manage queries efficiently and respond in a timely manner. Produce and review the unallocated cash report on a monthly basis. Collect utility information for Group Head Office. Ensure all month-end activities are completed on time and accurately. Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks as directed by your line manager. Engage in cross-training with colleagues within the Finance Department. Skills Required Extensive knowledge and experience in accounting, including nominal ledger, sales ledger, and purchase ledger. Experience in the automotive sector is beneficial but not essential. Commitment to teamwork demonstrated through personal actions. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Logical and practical problem-solving approach.
