Job role: Finishing Carpenter - Site Manager
Location: Sites all over the UK
Travel: Extensive travel required / living away during the week
Salary: Competitive
+ £25 daily allowance when working away from home and fully paid accommodation expenses.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Additional hours may be required on occasion to ensure projects are completed to deadline.

The role of Finishing Carpenter - Site Manager will involve nationwide travel; therefore, the successful candidate must be happy working away from home each week. A UK driving license is required.
Our client is seeking a time-served electrically biased Finishing Carpenter - Site Manager to join their projects team.
Finishing Carpenter - Site Manager SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
1. Previous experience working as a Senior Carpenter / Site Supervisor/Manager is an advantage.
2. Ability to communicate with subcontractors, clients, and other team members.
3. First Aid/H&S qualification is an advantage; training provided.
4. Time served.
The company works within the healthcare construction industry - hospitals all over the UK, which will involve working away from home. Working on projects between £50,000 to £100,000.
Finishing Carpenter - Site Manager DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the coordination and control of the project from initial start through to completion within a detailed programme.
2. Coordinate closely with subcontractors under their control and facilitate the safe progress of works.
3. Day-to-day management of Sub Contractors and operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time and quality constraints.
4. Regular monitoring and liaison with the Contracts Manager on the Master Programme and development of stage/section programme as required.
5. Liaise with the Contract Manager to ensure adequate labour and sub-contract resource is available on site utilizing the agreed company sub-contractors.
6. Carry out toolbox briefings to the site teams and sub-contractors.
7. Plan and efficiently organize the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff.
8. Oversee the deliveries and ensure they are done in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.
9. Coordinate closely with Clients on site.
10. Ensure all Site Documentation and Health and Safety documentation is in order.
11. Fit furniture, general joinery, and erect hoardings.
