Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead supply planning, inventory management, and resource management in the Europe, Middle-East and Africa regions. In addition to leading our European P&F function, you will also be leading the planning and fulfillment activities in our Morley, UK factory. Each day, you will drive planning initiatives to improve customer on-time delivery and lead time. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring adherence to inventory and supply plan. The work model for the role is: #Hybrid, to be based at our Leeds site with global travel. This role is contributing to the Electrification, Smart Building, Emergency Lighting division. Main stakeholders are Manufacturing Unit Managers, Sales team, Finance Analysts and Operations Manager.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Supports the profitable execution of customer orders, in coordination with business functions and Supply units (feeder factories).
* Coordinates an appropriate response to unplanned events.
* Implements and owns the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including aggregation of market forecast, manufacturing production plan, plan to address gaps and supplier forecast, ensuring seamless alignment between planning and execution.
* Owns the inventory and Net Working Capital (NWC) checkbook for the local unit and drives inventory optimization projects within the sites while ensuring high customer service levels.
* Leads regular discussions with Supply units on inbound issues, planning parameters, reverse logistics, etc.
* Leads/contributes to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead time, inventory, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.
Qualifications for the role
* Bachelor degree in operations management with very strong relevant experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent.
* Proven track record in resource management, capacity planning, budget management and process performance management to meet Customer expectations, production demands and maximize efficiency.
* Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and competitive advantage.
* Data Analysis & Reporting, and strong project management skills to provide insights for decision making and deliver successful project completion within scope and budget.
* Passion in inventory management & control, and logistics to minimize costs, maintain high customer satisfaction level and prevent stockouts.
* Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide diverse teams as well as strong communication skills with natural ability to influence and coordinate with various stakeholders.
