Description
The VAT Compliance Supervisor will oversee and manage the VAT compliance processes for the organisation. The role involves ensuring the timely and accurate preparation, review and submission of VAT returns. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of VAT legislation and an ability to manage a team to meet deadlines effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
2. Review VAT calculations, reconciliations, and adjustments prepared by the team.
3. Manage and support a team, providing guidance and training.
4. Support the manager to ensure day-to-day activities are completed within the timeframes and requirements set.
5. Ensure planning processes meet client needs and statutory deadlines.
6. Review team files to ensure all standards, quality, and compliance requirements are met and issues identified.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices in the field to ensure compliance.
8. Deliver on Xeinadin’s vision and values in all work interactions, ensuring a focus on innovation and client-focused service.
Key Requirements
1. A relevant qualification in accounting or Finance.
2. Strong knowledge of UK VAT regulations.
3. Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple deadlines.
4. Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable and practical experience in a similar role in an Accountancy Practice.
Additional Requirements
1. Experience in managing and/or mentoring junior members of a practice team, with a focus on driving results and exceeding expectations.
2. Proficiency in navigating professional regulations and best practices, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact.
3. Self-motivation, attention to detail, and adaptability to evolving business requirements.
