KEY DUTIES CONTINUED To ensure clinic areas are clean and tidy at all times. To ensure that equipment is maintained in a clean and working order and that ward equipment is appropriately stored. To be actively involved in ward maintenance, reporting faulty equipment on the ward to the nurse in charge, ensuring appropriate follow up calls are made. To undertake reception/clerical duties in the absence of the ward clerk (answering the telephone, taking messages, ensuring messages are appropriately communicated). To maintain ward fridge and microwave checks as per Trust Policy. To maintain infection control documentation. To ensure daily / weekly environmental checks are undertaken and report exceptions.
