Clinical Governance and Risk Support Officer
Band 4 £30,703 - £33,257 including Distance Islands Allowance pro rata per annum
Part Time 30 hours per week

A position has become available to join a small team, in an exciting and varied role, supporting the organisation's Quality, Safety and Risk priorities within the Safety, Quality and Risk team. The Safety, Quality and Risk team are seeking a Clinical Governance (CG) Support Officer to join us in supporting the organisation's priorities around safety, quality, experience and risk. Your role will be to provide a high standard of administrative support as well as being part of new programmes which include implementing and supporting the wider workforce in sharing learning from incidents and patient feedback and implementing quality improvement programmes.
Some of the key duties include, but are not exclusive to:
1. Providing a high level of dedicated business support to the team, covering all aspects of the quality improvement (QI) and patient safety business, risk management, patient feedback, complaints and plaudits.
2. Providing a high level of support to confidential and sensitive reviews of Significant Adverse Events, Clinical Incidents, and Complaints.
3. Supporting the delivery of organisational QI and patient safety initiatives.
4. Preparing and delivering reports to deadlines.
5. Collating, analysing and presenting data/information to inform QI activities.
6. Providing help and support to patients and staff on the feedback and complaints service.
We are looking for someone who has the following:
1. The postholder will be educated to HNC level as a minimum.
2. Range of experience in administrative roles, business support officer roles or equivalent.
3. Conversant with office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role including previous minute taking experience.
4. Must show competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification.
5. Experience of supporting projects and drafting reports.
6. Experience of collecting, collating, and analysing data.
7. Experience and knowledge of supporting effective customer-orientated services.
8. Experience in supporting the delivery of service improvements in an NHS environment.
