YMCA Robin Hood are seeking a Finance Business Partner to be a dedicated resource to our Community & Activity Village in Newark
and our Hospitality service – 2 of our most vibrant, exciting and commercially focused services.
As our new Finance Business Partner, you will play a vital role in delivering robust financial reporting and operational modelling
to 2 of our valued services. This is a really diverse group of services comprising sports & leisure, childcare, pubs & cafes
through to commercial room hire and corporate events.
By partnering with the operational teams and combining this with a high commercial acumen, this role will provide strategic
financial guidance and support recommendations to bring future success to the business.

* Budgeting & Forecasting
* Service Line Reporting and Contract costing
* MI data analysis & Month End Reporting
* Detailed Variance Analysis
* Creating & Maintaining KPI dashboards
You can expect your role to include:
* Partnering with operational teams to align financial insights with broader business goals.
* Work with key stakeholders to compile and analyse data for monthly reporting, monthly forecasts and budgets for the Newark and
Sherwood Community Activity Village and Malt Cross entities.
* Prepare monthly P&Ls with commentary for our Exec team.
* Support review of pricing models and detailed margin analysis
* Build and maintain detailed financial models to support business decisions and growth opportunities.
* Identifying risks and opportunities, providing clear recommendations for senior leadership.
* Tracking and reporting KPIs while developing new metrics to measure success.
* Understand the drivers behind each service lines financial performance and challenge the status quo.
* Conduct weekly & monthly finance reviews with senior stakeholders
* Lead a prompt and accurate month-end close
We envisage this role being based at our YMCA Newark & Sherwood Community & Activity Centre in Newark the majority of the time. We
feel someone based within the hub of these services will be able to glean so much information and understanding about the running
of our operations, it will really support your role.
There is a real pace and energy about the building which changes throughout the day as different groups of our community use the
building. Understanding this will really enhance your commercial recommendations and help us to grow and maximise the financial
opportunity the building can realise.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest our surplus to ensure children and young people have access to services and
activities they might not otherwise get to experience and so it is imperative we have excellent financial input to influence our
decisions.
If you have a strong commercial instinct but are looking to contribute to an organisation making real change, this is a superb
opportunity for you.
We are also very open to this role being on a part time basis of around 30 hours per week. We are flexible on the working pattern
and which days this might include and would be open to discussing a pattern which works for us both.
We are looking for you to be fully qualified or in the very final stages of your studies, who can bring a mix of financial and
management accounting expertise to take responsibility for these 2 important service areas.

partnerships with your key Stakeholders.

At this time, there is no line management associated with this role but there is potential scope in the future for this role to
evolve and grow.
