About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team for a key project focused on developing and implementing a joint commercial model across our Sales and Trading businesses. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across multiple locations and play a pivotal role in shaping our operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
* Engage with key sales stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
* Analyze and map business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
* Develop use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
* Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand data dependencies and system integrations.
Impact Assessment:
* Evaluate the impact of changes in gas purchase processes, pricing tools, and operating models.
* Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for business process improvement.
* Conduct gap analyses to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare business cases to justify proposed changes.
Amends and Cancellations Process:
* Work with the business to define and document gas purchase and contract amendment processes.
* Ensure alignment with new operating models to support operational efficiency.
New Pricing Tool Support:
* Gather and document requirements for a new pricing tool that aligns with the evolving commercial model.
* Provide support for the development, implementation, and integration of the pricing tool.
Gas Operations Operating Model Implementation:
* Collaborate with senior management and operational teams to design and implement a new gas operations model.
* Ensure integration of necessary systems and tools for operational effectiveness.
* Support testing and refinement of the new operating model.
Second Phase of Delivery (Account Management) Support:
* Assist in the transition from development to production, ensuring seamless implementation.
* Support testing, training, and change management efforts.
* Coordinate with project teams to track progress and address challenges.
Stakeholder Management:
* Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to ensure stakeholder alignment.
* Act as a liaison between business, IT, and external partners to achieve project objectives.
* Manage expectations, risks, and communication with senior management.
Documentation & Reporting:
* Maintain all necessary project documentation, including process maps, impact assessments, and test plans.
* Provide regular progress updates and highlight potential risks or delays.
What You Will Bring:
* University degree and BCS qualification.
* Extensive experience managing change in the Energy domain, specifically in Sales (Retail or Marketing) and Trading.
* Proven experience in business analysis within Energy Trading, with expertise in Agile delivery frameworks.
* Strong understanding of the Energy Trading business and deal lifecycle.
* Experience in cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to align diverse teams.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Attention to detail and high organizational skills.
* Proficiency in process mapping, requirement gathering, and data analysis.
* Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
* A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Comfortable working in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
