OBM Are currently recruiting for an Assistant Operations Manager for our oil and gas service provider client based at Teesworks, Middlesborough.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the delivery of operational service requirement and operational service improvements to achieve performance and financial targets. Supporting performance with communication, planning and reviews.
As required, provide direct operations leadership to support night operations being conducted at the SBQ. Support the Operations Manager to lead and manage individual and team performance and development.
In partnership with the HSSEQ department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations and industry standards/codes.
Use Power BI to report KPIs and build monthly reports.
Identify opportunities for growth; Report significant breaches of policy and/or regulation to the Operations Manager or appropriate person.
Financial planning and budgetary control, inventory control, and disposal cost effectiveness
Business case cost planning preparation and assist in development and execution of business plans with a primary focus on profit growth.
Ad-hoc responsibilities as requested by the Operations manager for the successful operation of the facility including flexibility to cover nights shifts when required.
UK Driving Licence
Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team.
Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite and a practical understanding of data entry and reporting applications.
