Main duties of the job
We are seeking an exceptional Lead Nurse to provide dynamic leadership and strategic direction within our specialised paediatric diabetes service! With a clinical caseload of 50%, you will be hands-on in delivering high-quality care that makes a real difference in our young patients' lives.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current NMC registration (RN Child)
* Degree in healthcare (or equivalent)
* Qualification in management/leadership
* Recognised teaching / mentorship / education qualification
* Non-medical prescribing
* Masters level Advanced Clinical Practice/Equivalent
Knowledge
* Knowledge of change management theory
* Knowledge of organisational development
* Knowledge of National Targets and Clinical Governance
* Evidence of extensive expert professional knowledge supplemented by post reg. specialist managerial / leadership training and CPD
Skills
* Experienced in Clinical caseload management
* NHS leadership/management experience
* Experience of business planning and budgetary management
* Participation in research and experience of critical appraisal
Experience
* Substantial post registration experience with proven experience at a senior level
* Experience of using performance management methodology
