This biomanufacturing facility will provide additional Cell Culture cGMP manufacturing capacity to the existing Billingham, UK campus and is expected to become operational in 2025. For Project Borealis, there are 2 phases to the role; in phase 1 the successful applicant will join the project team and contribute to the set up of the facility, participating in preparation activities to ensure Borealis is operationally ready for December 2025. There are two phases to this role: Phase 1: Initially this will be a project role during the introduction of a new Flexible Cell Culture Facility (FCCF) at Billingham. The job holder will support with the implementation and set up of the new facility to ensure the Solution preparation suite and the shift team (Solution Technicians) are operationally ready for the start of phase 2. Phase 2: As a Shift Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of technologists in the preparation of buffers and solutions for cell culture manufacturing processes. This will involve collaborating with production planners, the Logistics Lead, the Weighing and Dispensing Lead and the Warehouse Shift Team Lead to ensure that all required buffers and solutions are prepared in a timely manner to support production schedules. Health and Safety shall be a priority in this role due to the hazards associated with the preparation of buffers and solutions. This role is to ensure that all buffers and solutions are prepared, controlled, receipted using SAP HANNA, stored, and transferred to FCCF manufacturing in line with GMP requirements. Following the correct work instructions and standard operating procedures, materials management, analytical testing, producing buffers and solutions as per a planned schedule Degree in biology, biochemistry, microbiology or another related subject NVQ in Plant Process Operation Grade C or above for GCSE English and Maths Experience of working in a GMP environment or regulated environment Minimum 2 years’ experience co-ordinating resource to support day to day activities to achieve business objectives. 3 years or more experience as a line manager, including performing annual review and objectives setting At FDB, your passion – your Genki – is your power and we empower you to define what Genki means to you.
