I am working on a very unique opportunity for with an Investment Bank and they are looking for somebody to join their Structured Finance team as a KYC Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and reducing financial crime risks. About the Role As a KYC Specialist, you will support our Structured Finance Relationship Manager by managing day-to-day activities related to KYC and regulatory compliance. You'll ensure all legal and regulatory obligations are satisfied while mitigating money laundering risks, aligning with the Financial Regulator's guidelines and our internal policies. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive KYC processes for new customers, including validating corporate structures and documents Manage and maintain the client KYC database with accuracy and integrity Provide expert KYC and AML advice to team members Proactively identify and escalate AML risks, working closely with the MLRO and compliance teams Perform periodic KYC reviews, ensuring adherence to due dates and quality standards Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and compliance departments, to ensure smooth operations Update and maintain local procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory updates Skills and Experience At least 5 years of experience in detailed investigations, including adverse media screening, sanctions screening, and PEP/high-risk client reviews Strong knowledge of KYC/CDD processes for various customer types, including complex corporate and trust structures as well as SPVs KYC experience gained from an Investment Bank Managerial-level communication and presentation skills Please note, this client is not able to consider candidates with experience solely from a retail bank or wealth manager as the client types within this role are more complex.
