Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic Generic Therapy Associate Practitioner to join Hull and East Riding Integrated Falls Team. The role requires the post holder to support with the delivery of falls assessment and intervention alongside Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff. This role will support in the delivery of falls assessment and interventions and will require the post holder to regularly participate in weekend working. The role requires you to work with both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists as well as independently under the guidance of a Therapist. You will receive training and work towards competencies in both professions. Following this, you will continue to receive training and support to enable you to deliver high quality therapy interventions to the best of your ability.
Main duties of the job
You should be empathetic, have excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to support and motivate others to achieve their potential. You will be supported by a well-established and very experienced Multidisciplinary Team and will receive regular supervision. The successful candidate will be working in an exciting and forward thinking organisation that holds service and excellence at the heart of its values, and supports creativity and innovation in the workplace. Qualifications
Essential
1. Relevant level 4 or Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or demonstrable working experience in the field of rehabilitation.
Knowledge
Essential
2. Demonstrate awareness of healthy living practices
3. Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act
4. Knowledge of preparing rehabilitation programmes for improving independence and fitness.
5. Knowledge of risks associated with performing exercise and when to escalate clinical concerns to the most appropriate clinician.
6. Clear understanding of the rehabilitative process and role to play within this.

7. Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Adults and Young People
