Job Description:
For this position, it is essential that you have a background in supporting people with personality disorders (BPD, EUPD, personality disorder traits), complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and autism. Ideally, your experience will be in community-based settings, such as supported living and/or residential care.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care practice is essential.
* Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be an advantage.
You will play a pivotal role in providing person-centred support for a nonbinary individual with a complex trauma history to develop essential life skills and independence. They are supported on a 2:1 basis in their own home and have an interest in crystals, music, swimming, and enjoy spending time with their son.

Responsibilities:
* Providing trauma-informed, person-centred support.
* Supporting the person to develop self-management tools to aid in their recovery and live a fulfilled life.
* Helping identify potential triggers which may lead to signs of mental health decline and behaviours of concern.
* Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to improve quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern.
* Collaborating to create and implement tailored support plans.
* Assisting in developing essential life skills such as cooking, personal hygiene, budgeting, and household management.
* Supporting with medication, medical appointments, and maintaining good quality health and well-being.
* Enabling engagement in community activities and social events.
* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive care records, documenting progress, incidents, and outcomes as required.
* Working closely with colleagues, the family, external professionals, and other agencies to ensure holistic care.
Hours:
We provide support on a 24/7 basis with a staffing ratio of 2:1 support. You will be expected to support on a rotational basis working 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and sleep-in duties.
Our Refer a Friend scheme is worth £500 in total. This is split £250 after the person has worked 100 hours and another £250 when they have passed probation (6 months usually).
