Summary of Overall Role Purpose We are a CLC-regulated conveyancing firm dedicated to delivering exceptional residential property services across the UK. We are looking for a Finance Manager who will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health, ensuring compliance, and supporting our growth with insightful financial planning including the preparation of financial forecasts and control / responsibility of company budgets. Role Overview The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities, ensuring robust financial management and regulatory compliance. This role will be responsible for managing financial operations, preparing financial reports, and providing essential insights to support business strategy. Working closely with conveyancers and other team members, the Finance Manager will foster a culture of continuous improvement in a high-paced, completion-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly financial reports, including management accounts, board packs and key performance indicators. Financial forecasting: Preparation of financial forecasts. Budges: Taking control and responsibility of company budgets. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including CLC and AML standards. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary. Cash Flow Management: Plan and manage cash flow to ensure funds are available to meet operational needs. Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments. Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, manage timely invoicing, payments, and effective credit control. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational decision-making. Team Collaboration: Represent finance across the business, working closely with conveyancers to support their financial needs and improve processes. Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred, though Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates will also be considered. Experience: At least 5 years in a finance role, ideally within the legal or property sector, with experience managing a Client Account. Technical Skills: Proficient in financial software, particularly Xero, and advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting. Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Desired Attributes Familiarity with CLC Accounts Rules and AML requirements. Prior experience in residential conveyancing or a similar completion-driven environment. Experience implementing financial process improvements to increase efficiency.
