Person specification
Education, Training and Qualifications
* Fully qualified Accountant (CCAB or other equivalent)
* Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
Knowledge and Experience
* Substantive experience in a large and complex organisation
* Extensive experience at a strategic level
* Achieved results in a difficult financial climate in an organisation with limited opportunities to increase profit/income
* Experience of leading the implementation of service improvement, including complex change management programmes at a management level
* Experience of managing risk associated with service change
Leadership and Management Skills
* Strategic vision; able to formulate financial strategy in addition to undertaking operational needs
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to adopt flexible approaches to achieve best outcomes for the organization
* Ability to present complex financial information in an understandable form and engage diverse audiences
* Track record of successful performance management delivery and able to hold others accountable for agreed targets
