Senior Project Manager (PMO)
Locations: Dublin, Cork, Galway, Sligo, Kilkenny, Ireland
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and help lead impactful projects that make a real difference, in Ireland.
Specific to route experience and able to interface across sectors and disciplines.
Can consider contract, or a temp-to-perm solution but also full time permanent role.
Relocation from the UK strongly considered.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take on a key leadership role, working closely with project teams across multiple sectors, including transportation and utilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting multi-disciplinary project teams to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
Managing stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met.
Overseeing project documentation, including budgets, schedules, risks, and performance tracking to ensure projects remain on course.
Driving continuous improvement by developing processes, tools, and techniques that enhance project delivery.
Providing expert guidance to project managers and technical teams, ensuring commercial performance and best practices.
Delivering in-house project management training and mentoring to build capacity within the team.
Producing detailed monthly reports to senior management, outlining project health and identifying any risks or issues.
Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of delivering complex projects. Your qualifications and experience include:
A degree in project management, civil engineering, or a related discipline (NFQ Level 8).
10+ years of experience managing and delivering large-scale infrastructure or utilities projects.
Experience in a PMO or programme management environment is advantageous.
Chartered Engineer or Chartered Project Professional status is highly desirable.
Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
Strong knowledge of project management principles, contract management, risk management, and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels, both internally and externally.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results and driving continuous improvement.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
