Here at Octopus Energy ECO, we’re responsible for delivering the government mandated eco obligation scheme on behalf of Octopus Energy! We are super passionate about helping customers on low income and benefits improve the insulation in their homes, to help reduce their bills and carbon emissions. We work with an internal and external supply chain insulating customer homes across the UK within the compliance rules of the ECO scheme.If you’re customer focused and have a love of helping people this could be the role for you! You’ll be making a difference by validating customer’s applications for the schemes we run, making sure they’re eligible and informing them of the installation journey.You’ll join the ECO Validation team, learning about the different schemes and looking after customer’s applications. Day to day, you’ll be supporting customers with their applications via both phone and email. You’ll need to have great attention to detail, be an excellent team player and the drive to work in a fast-paced, target driven environment. The schedule for this role will be part-time hours (3 days a week, flexible between 20 & 22 hours with the possibility of some evening & weekend work.
What you'll do
1. Understand ECO and the schemes we are delivering, as well as how you contribute towards them
2. Process applications from customers who are interested in having their homes insulated under the schemes
3. Explain to customers clearly how the application process works so that their expectations are managed
4. Liaising with customers as and when required by both phone and email, inbound and outbound
5. Work to daily and monthly targets, both individually and as part of a team

8. Desire to take on responsibility, show initiative and see tasks through to the completion
9. Good Excel/Sheets skills
10. Good numerical accuracy
11. A start up / entrepreneurial mind-set being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business
12. A constant focus on improving and developing personally and within a business
13. Experience of working with Hubspot and Google Workspace desirable but not essential
