Part-time 6m contract for a technical administrator, Peterborough JOB TITLE: Technical Administrator JOB LOCATION: Peterborough JOB TYPE: 6-month fixed-term contract JOB HOURS: 20 to 25 hours per week JOB SALARY: £15000 to £17500 JOB WORKING: This job needs someone to work 4 or 5 hours every day due to the flow of work. Initially, you'll be in the office 5 days per week, but once you're comfortable with IT systems etc, you will be able to work from home up to 2 days per week. Your new company Hays works with this company up and down the UK and in Peterborough, we've brought people into their team for years, and they've all told us how much they enjoy their work and the culture and vibe in the office. There's a team member who is quite poorly, so this job is being recruited to cover their long-term absence until they are well enough to come back to work. Your new role This job is to provide admin support to the technical teams that work in the Peterborough office and that includes compiling reports using in-house systems and Excel spreadsheets, covering reception when needed, tracking KPIs, logging client information and instructions to the system and supporting the Head of the Department. This job is part-time (20–25 hours per week) and on a 6-month fixed-term contract, so you'll be employed by the company. What you'll need to succeed You'll need to be a confident user of Excel spreadsheets (you may be tested if your application is to be progressed) and you must have at least 2 to 3 years experience of working in an office admin job. You'll need excellent communication skills and an ability to co-ordinate information that's held in lots of different places and pull it all together (so if you've done that before, please consider adding that detail to your CV as evidence of your suitability for the job). What you'll get in return This is a nice office to work in, and you'll be supporting really excellent people who are at the top of their game. There's always the potential for something extra beyond the contract, but it's too early to say what that might be, but you'll be in a great position to take advantage of developments as they happen. This job is perfect for a working parent. The manager is happy for someone to work from 9am to 1 or 2pm, so it fits in with school hours.
