Step into a ready-made caseload with a strong reputation and direct client referrals. Genuine progression opportunity – potential to become a part-owner in the business. Tight-knit, supportive team with flexible working and no unrealistic targets. Are you a private family solicitor looking for a role where you’ll be valued, supported, and have the opportunity to grow within a well-established boutique firm? This is a rare opportunity to take over an existing caseload in a small but highly respected family law firm in Liverpool. With no business development expectations, you can focus solely on fee-earning while benefiting from a close-knit, collaborative team that prioritises support and flexibility. The firm has big plans for the future, with the owner looking at a management buyout within the next five years—offering the chance for a solicitor to step into a leadership role and even take part-ownership in the business. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a solicitor with: Experience in private family law (NQ for private children cases, more senior level for financial work). A background in legal aid is acceptable, but not care work (E). A proactive, ambitious approach with an entrepreneurial mindset (D). The ability to work well within a small, close-knit team (E). Basic IT skills (experience with Leap CMS and Bighand dictation is useful but not essential). Salary & Benefits Competitive salary, dependent on experience and billing potential. No targets for the first year, with a bonus scheme of 20% over target thereafter. 9-5 working hours (7-hour days) with full flexibility for family commitments. Part-time options (3 or 4 days per week) available. Flexible hybrid working – typically one office day per week. 5 weeks’ holiday plus bank holidays, birthday and Christmas bonuses. Pension scheme. CPD support and mandatory professional development (all members of Resolution). Future leadership opportunities, including the potential for part-ownership.
