We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger to join our team for a heavy mechanical removal project involving the dismantling and removal of large mechanical components and pipework. This is a critical role that requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
* Rigging Operations:
Safely rig, lift, move, and position heavy mechanical components, including but not limited to pumps, motors, turbines, and extensive pipework systems.
* Equipment Setup:
Set up and operate rigging equipment such as cranes, hoists, winches, and slings according to project specifications.
* Safety Compliance:
Ensure all rigging activities comply with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections of rigging equipment and site conditions.
* Collaboration:
Work closely with the engineering, mechanical, and dismantling teams to execute the removal and transportation of mechanical components effectively.
* Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate rigging methods and techniques.
* Problem-Solving:
Identify potential rigging challenges and develop safe and effective solutions to execute the work.
* Documentation:
Maintain detailed logs of rigging activities, equipment used, and safety checks conducted.
* Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Load Calculation:
Accurately calculate load weights and ensure proper balance and securement during lifting operations.
