Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled DevOps and Site Reliability engineer to join our software development team located at the Manchester office. Working closely with application developers, your focus will be on growing our infrastructure in a reliable, repeatable and automated way, using modern Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) practices.
You will also be responsible for the health of web services developed for the wider ecosystem of development teams at Arm. This role is vital for on-time, smooth, and repeatable release and delivery of the development tools our customers use for their Arm devices and designs.
Responsibilities
* Embedded within the development team, maintain and expand the CI/CD infrastructure for the team's work
* Engage in the "community of practice" with fellow DevOps engineers across the company
* Champion "DevOps as a culture" among the team, focussing your time on the expert areas and enabling the team for the day-to-day
* Ensure the highest quality of service for the team's web services
Required Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes:
* Significant experience building desktop software with Jenkins and AWS
* Well-versed in virtualisation and containerisation, using Docker and at least one mainstream VM technology (VMware ESX, Oracle Virtual Box, Amazon EC2 or such other)
* Experience using, and automating for Linux, Windows and macOS
* Proficient in Bash and Python scripting
* Demonstrable experience of Site Reliability Engineering and architecting for high availability
