Job summary Following the release of ARRS GP information and funding, South Rural PCN are looking for a ARRS GP to work across all 5 of their practices, on a 1 year fixed term contract until the end of March 2026. This position is offered for 8 sessions per week, which can be flexible. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. Main duties of the job Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Providing health education. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. About us South Rural PCN was formed in June 2019 with five like-minded practices wanting to provide a joined up service for local communities. To achieve this we are looking to reshape our clinical teams by developing new and exciting skill mixes, which not only diversify our workforce, but allows us to provide a better care package for our patients.
