We are looking for a Head of Governance and Compliance to join us based out of our Chester or London offices as we expand our multi-disciplinary team. Grosvenor Hart Homes became a registered provider of social housing in June 2024. This is a new role and is for 3.5 days a week with some flexibility on agreed contracted hours.
Addressing three critical foundations, we provide high-quality affordable homes simultaneously paired with employment and wellbeing support programmes, tailored around the needs of individuals, and designed to empower them to overcome barriers, fulfil their potential, and achieve better life outcomes.
You will be responsible for providing high-quality company secretariat, governance, and compliance services, ensuring Grosvenor Hart Homes’ (GHH) governance is efficient and effective and fully meets its regulated requirements. The role holder will support all Board and committee meetings and provide and coordinate all advice on governance, legal, and regulatory matters.
Along with a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including a very generous non-contributory pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, private medical cover, company sick pay, and other benefits and discounts via our employee benefits platform.
Key role responsibilities of the Head of Governance and Compliance include:
* Primary responsibility for GHH governance and regulatory compliance, ensuring that GHH meets the highest standards in governance and compliance with all requirements.
* Be the key contact with the Regulator of Social Housing and any other relevant regulatory organisations.
* Oversee all arrangements for Board meetings and Committee meetings, including annual governance and regulatory reviews, taking high-quality minutes.
* Develop and oversee appropriate controls and procedures to provide relevant levels of assurance to the Board.
We’re looking for a Head of Governance and Compliance with the following essential skills and experience:
* An established Company Secretary and/or relevant degree level qualification and experience.
* Excellent working knowledge of the RSH Regulatory Framework and experience with regulatory returns.
* Experience in the social housing sector.
* Excellent relationship building and people management skills, including experience working effectively with Boards of Management and Committees.
This role can be based in either our London or Chester office, with a requirement to work from the office circa 60% of the time. There will be travel between the two primary GHH locations. If you would like an informal discussion about this role, please contact EEO.Recruitment@grosvenor.com.
