Business Development Manager, North West
Direct Commercial are an award-winning commercial motor insurer entering an exciting period of growth. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, target-driven environment and is eager to make an impact.
The ideal candidate would be:
* An insurance broker with motor experience looking for a change of direction.
* Or, someone with experience working as a BDM within the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with brokers within the North West Area.
* Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities, driving growth for the business.
* Support the sales process from initial contact through to closing, ensuring the highest standards of service and professionalism.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams to provide solutions to meet the unique needs of each Broker.
* Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market.
* Meet and exceed sales targets and performance.
* Attend bi-weekly BDM Team Meetings (virtually) and face to face as and when required.
What’s needed to be considered?
* Proven experience in insurance sales, with a good understanding of the fleet market and broker needs.
* A strong passion and drive for new business generation and growth.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to manage a varied workload and balance multiple priorities effectively and work to deadlines.
* Target-driven with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
* Cert CII or the willingness to work to achieve this.
* 3 - 4 years' prior industry related experience
* Use of a company car for broker visits.
