Academy Secretary role at Birmingham City Football Club focuses on ensuring the efficient administration of Academy operations, providing essential support to the Head of Academy Operations and Administration. The role involves managing player registrations, coordinating fixtures, ensuring compliance with football regulations, and assisting with Academy events and tours. Key Responsibilities: Football Administration : Ensure accurate documentation for player registrations, scholarship agreements, and loans in coordination with football governing bodies. Fixture Management : Oversee fixture arrangements for the PDP (U17-U21) programme, including officials, medical cover, and bookings. Compliance : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations from The FA, Premier League, EFL, UEFA, and FIFA, and ensure documentation is compliant. Communication : Lead all communications with Academy players, parents, and staff regarding key updates and events. Event Coordination : Support and lead on Academy events, including awards, CPD events, and tours. Player Pathways : Assist with player transitions and exit strategies, working with the Head of Player Care and Emerging Talent. Document Management : Maintain and organise documents using SharePoint, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Audit Support : Help prepare for audit cycles, ensuring compliance with PGAAC, LFE, and Barnardo’s requirements. This role requires the candidate to work 37.5 hours per week, with benefits including a pension scheme and life assurance. A DBS check and medical clearance will be required for successful candidates. About The Candidate What we're looking for in you: Essential: Experience in administration or operations. Knowledge of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP). Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office & Excel. Strong communication and organisational abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Desirable: Experience working within football regulations. Knowledge of the Football Intelligence Platform. Event management and previous audit experience. Personal Attributes: Innovative, collaborative, and able to take initiative. Strong time management and thorough working practices.
