Temporary casual work opportunities – includes weekends
**Working days & hours very flexible**
Based: National Waterways Museum Gloucester, GL1 2EH.
Salary: £11.26 per hour
Are you looking for some occasional hours in an exciting customer service environment? Do you enjoy interacting with customers from across the UK and the world? Do you need the flexibility to work occasionally when it fits in with your day-to-day life?
The National Waterways Museum Gloucester is a thriving visitor attraction within the historic Gloucester Docks, and we want to ensure that all our visitors have a fantastic welcome and a memorable visit.
We have exciting activities and events all year round and are now recruiting people with a strong customer service focus, a welcoming approach, and the flexibility to work at our welcome desk, in our on-site shop, and in our café, to ensure every visitor has a memorable experience. Previous experience working in a café is not essential as training will be provided, but it would be a bonus.
As a Casual Attraction Assistant, you will work mainly in the welcome area of the museum, offering a warm welcome to visitors from all over the world. Your goal is to make each visit memorable. The role is diverse and may include welcoming tour groups, selling merchandise, assisting with events and activities, working at the café, doing light cleaning, guiding families around the site, selling ice cream, engaging with boaters, assisting with demonstrations, and collaborating closely with volunteers.
The Canal & River Trust is one of the UK’s largest charities. We maintain 2,000 miles of historic canals, rivers, docks, and reservoirs, along with museums, archives, and a significant collection of protected historic buildings. Find out more about us by visiting our website.
