About the role: This role provides an opportunity to be part of caring social housing provider, making a difference to the lives of our tenants and the communities we serve. As an Income Housing Officer, you'll be at the forefront of our income collection services, ensuring excellence and accessibility for all. Duties will include: Conducting thorough investigations into tenant arrears to determine the reasons behind non-payment. Conducting regular communication with tenants to discuss payment plans, negotiate arrears settlements, and provide support. Implementing strategies and utilising legal procedures to recover outstanding rent and resolve arrears cases. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of arrears, payment arrangements, and correspondence with tenants. Collaborating with internal teams, to develop effective solutions for tenants facing financial difficulties. Monitoring and analysing rent payment trends and identifying patterns to improve overall income collection strategies. Managing incoming calls and inquiries related to rent payments, providing clear information and guidance to tenants. Conducting property visits to tenants' homes, when necessary, to discuss arrears and identify and vulnerabilities. About you: While social housing experience is preferred, we value the transferable skills that come with previous income recovery experience whether within the sector or not. You will be prepared to take on meaningful challenges, achieve rewarding successes, and make a difference for those in need. You will need to be a team player.
