We are looking for an experienced Orthopaedics Vet Surgeon who is focused on clinical excellence and teamwork to join our new referral hospital. The position entails overseeing both internal and external medicine cases at a referral level, as well as maintaining communication with clients and referring veterinarians.
The Hospital
We're excited to announce the grand opening of our brand-new veterinary facility in Plymouth, set for May/June 2025! This state-of-the-art clinic, located just 1 mile north of the Devon Expressway (A38), is designed to offer an exceptional environment for both first opinion and secondary referral services.
Our new facility will be equipped with cutting-edge technology, including Plymouth's very first Veterinary Computed Tomography (CT) machine. This advanced equipment will allow us to provide unparalleled diagnostic capabilities to our patients.
The building features dedicated wards for dogs, cats, rabbits, and exotics, ensuring that each species receives specialized, compassionate care in a comfortable and stress-free environment. Multiple procedural spaces, all centered around a spacious prep room, will enhance our ability to perform a wide range of treatments and surgeries with ease.
We've also made sure our team will have everything they need to work efficiently and comfortably, with a large staff room and office spaces that foster collaboration and well-being.
The City
Plymouth is Britain's Ocean City and presents excellent opportunities for land and water-based activities as well as a vibrant cultural scene, with good access to the Southwest or Europe. There are not many better cities in which to live and work so if you are looking to relocate, we can offer you full support with this too.
The Person
1. To be successful you must have post-certificate experience of managing internally or externally referred cases.
2. Passion to join an already established service and help drive it forward in collaboration with other referral disciplines.
3. You must also offer flexibility in working hours, typically between 2-3 days a week with share of weekend work.
