As a Field Service Engineer, you will be supporting the end-user through planned and preventative maintenance contracts, on-site training, continuous improvements, and full machine analysis improving high-level productivity within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, clean energy, and FMCG sectors.
Core Functions
1. Provide full line technical support
2. Carry out maintenance, repairs and diagnostic activities
3. Provide proactive solutions for improved productivity
4. Ensure health, safety and welfare is a priority at all times
5. Electrical & Mechanical fault finding
6. Attend training when necessary
7. Liaise with the service team leader and service support engineer on all issues and work progress
8. Comply with and monitor health and safety requirements to eliminate or reduce risks
9. Provide support in-house by responding to issues over the phone, email or online maintaining a detailed report of the requests and processes
10. Carry out in-depth maintenance processes on time with a 'right first time' culture
11. Promote after-sales services and identify areas of work using technical awareness on site
12. Provide detailed written reports of all activities to the service team leader
13. Adhere to work health & safety at all times
14. Maintain high level customer satisfaction
15. Ability to travel worldwide at short notice (UK passport and driving licence are required)
Knowledge & Experience
1. A sound maintenance knowledge within an automation environment
2. Proven experience of working in a precision machine manufacturing environment
3. Proven experience of faultfinding with mechanical machinery
4. Experience with single phase, three phase and DC circuits
5. Sound understanding of electrical & mechanical components
