We are looking for a Project Planner (P6) to join our team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies. Salary range: £38,140 up to £45,000 Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke - attendance onsite required up to 4 days per week AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Introducing the role: As a Project Planner, you will work within the Project Controls teams across the business on a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from site maintenance, highly technical scientific and engineering trials and analysis to major capital construction and refurbishment projects, all within some of the most tightly regulated environments possible. As a Project Planner, along with proficiency in P6, we’d like you to have the following skills experience: Development, integration, and analysis of project plans Must have Civils EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) experience Best practice planning processes and tools Confidence modelling processes and techniques An analytical approach along with proficiency with interpreting charts and spreadsheets Genuine passion for project delivery - you want to challenge and ask questions to ensure successful delivery Your day could look like this: Creating the Work breakdown structure, Resource loading, Project level IMS (Integrated Master Schedule), and Project-specific basis of scheduling documents Input into the month-end process including: updating schedule progress, undertaking schedule forecasting, updating milestone status and critical path analysis Undertaking schedule performance review including EV variance analysis Providing Planning input to Change control process, Risk and Opportunity process, and Peer reviews Producing Planning and EV deliverables Addressing schedule performance issues Some reasons we think you’ll love it here: 9-day working fortnight – meaning you get every other Friday off work. 270 hours holiday Market leading contributory pension scheme (we will pay between 9% and 13% of your pensionable pay depending on your contributions) A truly meaningful role where your hard work impacts on our mission to keep the nation safe and secure.
