We are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance Team. This is an exciting role in the business and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn and achieve personal growth within a fast paced business.
What’s the opportunity?
Working in a team of 8 people in a high volume environment to ensure your assigned base of suppliers are paid accurately and within agreed terms. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for working proactively and communicating with:
* Suppliers
* Purchase Ledger Supervisor
* Head Office budget holders
* Warehouse
* Store contacts
Building strong relationships by providing a trusted service.
What does the role involve?
* Completing monthly supplier statements to a high quality alongside a list of actions to tidy the ledger
* Processing invoices and credit note for both stock vendors (furniture/flooring purchase orders) and non-stock vendors (operating business expenses)
* Proactively investigating and collaboratively working with contacts on invoice queries to ensure suppliers are paid on the next payment run
Who are we looking for?
* Experience in Accounts payable and working in a high volume invoice environment
* Experience working in a medium/large business
* Strong attention to detail
* Brilliant people and collaboration skills
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Strong priority setting and management
