As a Registered Nurse, you'll be at the heart of delivering top-notch healthcare services tailored specifically to adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Utilize your clinical skills and compassionate spirit to collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams, championing holistic wellness, and fostering growth across all ages and stages of life.
Schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am-4pm or 8:30am-4:30pm or 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities
* Use organizational skills to maintain meticulous records, ensuring healthcare records remain in compliance with state regulations.
* Obtain and maintain knowledge of all individuals including significant medical history, current medical problems, and current medications.
* Report changes in behavior & appearance, as necessary and appropriate.
* Conduct routine and problem-centered health assessments.
* Complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual nursing assessments notes as needed.
* Perform periodic reviews of the medication record to ensure accuracy and review all medication occurrence reports.
* Provide staff training for pertinent medical concerns.
* Administer medical treatments prescribed by the individual's physician as per regulations.
* Deliver first aid in emergency situations, as necessary.
* Attend meetings as necessary.
* Provide telephone consultation services during shift and after work hours and has on-call weekend responsibilities on a rotating basis.
* Participate in the internal psychiatric appointments for individuals served.
Qualifications
* Current RN license.
* 1-3 years' related work experience (new grads will be considered).
* Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred.
* Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to thrive within an interdisciplinary team.
* Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, committed to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
* Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each client and their family, exhibiting empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
