We are currently looking for a Therapy Assistant to support the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Team within the Stroke and Rehabilitation Therapy team at Bridlington Hospital.
As a Therapy Team, we are committed to providing innovative and effective evidence-based practice, and we are looking for a highly motivated and committed Therapy Assistant to be part of our continually developing services on this site. There is a robust support network for all staff, including clinical and management supervision and peer support and training.
The teams are closely supported by Senior Therapists and Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and we are keen to support and encourage the team to develop and provide excellent quality in patient care and meet national standards.
You will be supported to work through the competency framework and a robust period of induction and probation when joining the team, with an ongoing structure for supervision and development.
The ability to transport yourself and equipment across the locality during the course of a normal working day is required for this vacancy.
Interviews will be held on 8th January 2025 at Bridlington Hospital, and will be face to face.
This role offers the opportunity to work with patients on the wards, to deliver rehabilitation programs devised by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. You will be working with both stroke and general rehabilitation patients, as well as supporting deconditioning work on our delayed transfer of care ward.
This is a role that benefits from having regular patient contact individually and in groups, and is an important role in supporting the therapy and the wider multidisciplinary teams, with whom we have strong links.
