Head of MIS and ICT
£44,714 - £48,727 per annum
36 hours per week, full time, permanent
Duty Manager/on call responsibility on designated weeks in the year.
This is an exciting new opportunity to join our college and staff team. We are looking for an experienced Head of MIS to oversee our MIS, Exams and ICT functions. You will have experience and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of funding methodologies, in particular Adult Education and reporting requirements for relevant funding streams. In addition, you should possess a detailed understanding of data requirements and analytical skills to support decision making as well as the annual SAR process and Ofsted inspections.
As a member of the College Leadership Team (CLT), you will have experience of managing teams and the skills to provide leadership and support to MIS and ICT staff. Your leadership and management approach will reflect our mission and values, and support the successful delivery of the College's strategic priorities.
Advanced level IT Skills are required, along with the ability to analyse and present data at strategic and operational levels.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility for management and development of the Management Information Services (MIS) including enrolments, examinations, ILR, audit, systems development and reporting, and ICT.
To maintain an up-to-date expert level knowledge of current funding policy relating to adult education.
To be responsible for ensuring all aspects of funding contracts are met, including all data returns and audits.
Liaising with external bodies such as ESFA, DfE, SYMCA (South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority), WYCA (West Yorkshire Combined Authority), Student Loans Company, auditors and other external bodies as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience of successful management and leadership in a relevant discipline (MIS, ILR, funding) in the context of FE Experience of managing technical teams and functions, e.g. business intelligence / systems development / ICT
Experience and comprehensive knowledge of FE funding systems, in particular Adult Skills Fund, and management of student funding returns (ILR),PDSATS and data validation techniques
A Level 4 technical qualification or equivalent experience
