This role has a starting salary of £32,512 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.
We are excited to be hiring for a Senior Social Care Assistant to join our fantastic Supporting Independence and Reviewing Team (SIRT) based at Quadrant Court in Woking, Surrey. SIRT is a small dynamic and very supportive team. We offer ongoing training and development, as well as an Employee Assist Programme to support your wellbeing. We also support Agile working for a better work/life balance. As part of the Agile Working Policy, please note that you will be required to come into the office (Quadrant Court) Woking at least twice a week, with flexibility to come in on Monday or Tuesday, but mandatory on Wednesday.
This is a full-time permanent role.

About the Team
Come and join our small diverse and dynamic Supported Independent and Reviewing Team (SIRT) which is part of Surrey County Council's adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism service. The main function of SIRT team is to review individuals' package of care, carry out assessments of needs and move people from residential care homes into supported independent living accommodation where an individual has more choice and control over their day-to-day living. We work in a person-centred/strength-based approach to support individuals to live a full life, be part of their local community and reach their own SMART goals. We offer regular supervision, mentoring and well-being sessions. There are plenty of training opportunities available. Our friendly team will support you to develop your understanding of adult social care and expand your knowledge and skills.
About the Role
As a Senior Social Care Assistant at Surrey, we will put you in the best possible position to assess the social care needs of our service users, providing direct positive intervention to some of our more complex service users and support for their carers. This will include completing assessments and reviews to ensure those interventions are strength-based and person-centred. You will also be expected to complete safeguarding work and work collaboratively with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure our Service Users and their families receive the best possible outcomes.
Shortlisting Criteria
* Working knowledge of Care Act legislation
* Experience in preparation of support plans, assessments, and monitoring and reviewing outcomes
* Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders
* Commitment to your own professional development
* Experience working with vulnerable adults.
Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality-based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
