Audit & Accounts Manager
Competitive salary dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday: 09.00 – 17.00
Based on site, with occasional travel to clients’ offices, Herts, Essex and sometimes London.

They are expanding their audit and accounts team with the addition of an Audit and Accounts Manager to support the Audit and Accounts Department and to enable future succession and growth plans – reporting to 3 directors.
The role will involve taking a highly proactive role in the practice, including mentoring the apprentices and aiding in their training. Providing feedback and training where required, and providing support and guidance to the team.
Being pro-active in ensuring that workflow is maintained through the organisation so that audit work is completed in an effective and efficient manner. The role would also include being an integral part of the management team and working toward the team goals of growth for the practice whilst also ensuring a fun and friendly working environment.
Responsibilities: Audit & Accounts Manager
1. Manage a portfolio of clients
2. Deliver audit, accounting and tax compliance services to a range of clients including sole traders and limited companies
3. Prepare statutory and management accounts
4. Prepare personal and corporation tax returns
5. VAT work
6. Bookkeeping and management accounts
7. Mentoring / supporting and offering guidance to the apprentice team
Skills / Experience: Audit & Accounts Manager
8. ACCA or ACA qualified with more than 2 years post qualification experience. Ideally you will have worked in an Audit Practice and be used to multi-tasking on a daily basis
9. Experience of auditing groups would be an added advantage
10. Strong ability to apply analytical skills to business problems
11. Excellent communication skills – able to address technical and non-technical audiences in formal and informal settings
12. Good attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
13. Strong Microsoft Office experience and comfortable working with multiple systems for reporting and data manipulation
14. Located ideally within driving distance and a licence holder
15. Strong client-facing skills with a willingness to engage and promote the business effectively at various local networking and training events
16. Your wider skill set should include communication skills, analytical, numerical and IT skills with the ability to adapt within a growing business
