Role purpose: To provide and support a 24 hour Security Control Room and Incident Response environment, ensuring that all requests for assistance are attended too and that all technical security systems are operating to their optimum capability. Support Security Shift Controller in ensuring compliance to Group Baseline Security Manual (GBSM) and other customer specific requirements from a Physical Security perspective. This position is intended for the Authentication Division. Key responsibilities: To operate and respond to all aspects of Control Room Operation including emergency response i.e. Fire and emergency alarm system. To operate, monitor, evaluate and maintain CCTV systems and ensuring visual images are always to necessary standard, downloading recordings for the business needs and ensuring compliance with data protection. Manage the intercoms, entries and exits of the buildings according to established procedures. Be familiar with all communication systems and be aware of emergency response procedures. Report any failures in the security systems to the Security Shift Controller and be familiar with site escalation process. Be familiar with all Security Shift Controller duties in order to offer business continuity by means of substitution where required. The above list is not exhaustive. You will be required to undertake other duties within your capabilities, consistent with this role, to support the needs of the business for which training will be provided. Ensuring that the Control Room remains secure at all times and that no unauthorized Persons enter the Control Room. Familiar with GBSM and other customer specific security requirements. Awareness of HSE best practice. Computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word (as a minimum). High level of confidentiality and discretion required. O level standard of education. Security Guard Licence CCTV Operator Qualification (or willing to undertake relevant training) Significant experience in a Security based, disciplined role. Significant proven experience of Physical Security.
