We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our Digital & Data team. This role will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights to support decision-making across the business. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, proficiency in data visualisation tools, and the ability to communicate complex insights effectively. This role will also play a key role in supporting marketing insights, helping to optimise campaigns, customer segmentation, and engagement strategies.

The Person
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
* Proficiency with SQL for querying, transforming, migrating, and analysing data.
* Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to create dashboards and reports.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data storage solutions.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and insights.
* Excellent communication skills to translate data insights into business recommendations.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 2+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
* Experience working with large datasets and performing data cleaning and transformation.
* Understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and predictive modelling is desirable.
* Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
* Experience in customer lifetime value (CLTV) modelling and single customer view (SCV) analysis is highly desirable.
The Role
Data Analysis & Reporting:
* Collect, process, and analyse data to generate actionable insights for various business functions.
* Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to track key performance indicators.
* Support teams by providing ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions.
* Provide marketing insights including customer segmentation, campaign effectiveness, and engagement analysis.
Business Intelligence & Insights:
* Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns in data that can help drive strategic decisions.
* Work closely with stakeholders to define metrics and performance indicators.
* Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and data-driven recommendations.
* Support the centralisation of multiple data sources to create a more unified and efficient analytics framework.
Collaboration & Data Storytelling:
* Communicate findings through compelling data visualisations, reports, and presentations.
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, operations, and other departments to support data-driven decision-making.
* Partner with the Data Engineer to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for reporting purposes.
Data Quality & Governance:
* Assist in ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and governance standards are upheld across the organisation.
* Monitor and validate data sources to ensure reliability and quality of insights.
* Support the implementation of data security best practices in collaboration with IT teams.
Industry Trends & Continuous Improvement:
* Stay updated with emerging trends in analytics, data visualisation, and BI tools.
* Explore new methodologies and tools to enhance data analysis and reporting efficiency.
* Recommend and implement improvements to existing data workflows and processes.
WRU Requirements
The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a Valid UK Driver's License is desirable. This role is subject to a basic/enhanced DBS check.
