Design Engineer
Location: Yaxley, Peterborough
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Monday - Friday
Our client, a leading manufacturer of motorsport pit lane equipment, have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer. We are looking for a Design Engineer with a mechanical background to progress with this growing organisation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the design and optimisation of new innovative components/systems
* Communicate with customers to create designs
* Responsible for the design of pit stop equipment such as front and rear jacks, wheel gun & socket, gantry, traffic lights, pit stop practice test rig parts
* Drive the evolution of equipment design, ensuring it meets both technical specifications and the customers unique performance needs
* Manage the end-to-end design process, including project timelines and resource allocation
Candidate Requirements:
* Mechanical design experience, ideally 5+ years
* Experience dealing with 3D drawings, as well as 2D
* Experience using Solidworks (other software's may be considered)
