About the Company:
A global leader in facilities management is seeking a skilled Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer for their Lincolnshire team, working across a range of commercial and public sector clients.
Role Overview:
The Mobile AC Engineer will execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as per specifications, documenting work in real-time. Responsibilities include updating CAFM systems, completing paperwork, and swiftly addressing plant faults. The engineer will proactively identify improvement areas and manage reactive tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PPM tasks on schedule and document in real-time.
- Complete and submit all paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown work promptly.
- Update CAFM systems with detailed work descriptions.
- Identify and log plant failures, informing the line manager.
- Ensure plant faults are fixed promptly to maintain operations.
- Maintain adequate spare parts for maintenance tasks.
- Conduct Point of Work Risk Assessments before starting tasks.
- Follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safety.
- Maintain a Safe and Healthy working environment, including PPE and uniform use.
- Operate the Permit to Work System per technical and safety processes.
- Engage in mandatory and skill-related training.
- Foster positive relationships with staff, subcontractors, and clients.
- Maintain a professional image and ensure plant rooms are clean.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure contractual compliance.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns outside normal hours and participate in the on-call rota.
- Conduct regular audits of vehicle/tools to ensure safety and functionality.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the contract manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Recognised industry qualification and relevant experience required.
- FGas certification essential.
- Trade-qualified AC Engineer with post-apprenticeship experience preferred.
- Full, clean driver's license required.
- Awareness of Legionella and Asbestos (training provided if necessary).
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle demanding client personnel.
- Self-motivated, team player, and adaptable to change.
- Physically fit and fluent in written and spoken English.
- Availability for out-of-hours standby rota participation.
